Former Federer Coach Analyzes Alcaraz: "His Performances Will Likely Be More Inconsistent Than Sinner's"

Alcaraz met the high expectations of the public by winning the title in Monte Carlo. The Spaniard claimed victory in the Principality for the first time.
In an interview with Tennis Channel, Paul Annacone analyzed Carlos Alcaraz's situation. The former Federer coach also commented on the comparison with Sinner:
"I think historically, Carlos Alcaraz will have a bit more inconsistency in his results and performances than Sinner because he has a lot more variety in his game.
Thanks to his personality, he can turn the exchange around with a multitude of shots. Thus, he will experience highs and lows to a greater extent, for example, than Sinner.
The Spaniard's peak level is, in my opinion, slightly higher, but I also think his average level of play is a bit lower.
Therefore, we might see a few more losses from Alcaraz, but that doesn't bother me because it will be part of all the excitement of the player.
And keep in mind that he won two Grand Slams last year, so not everything is bad for him."
