The French Davis Cup team had a good weekend, with a straightforward 3-0 victory over Brazil.
On Saturday, Ugo Humbert started the match against Joao Fonseca, a player in form at the start of the season. He won without too much trouble, 7-5, 6-3.
Arthur Fils took over against Thiago Seyboth Wild and did likewise, 6-1, 6-4, after a frosty handshake with his opponent.
This Sunday, the doubles were in action, with Benjamin Bonzi and Pierre-Hugues Herbert. They were up against Rafael Matos and Marcelo Melo.
Despite losing the first set, the French came back to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
In the next round, they will take on Croatia, who beat Slovakia.
