Fritz already the victim of insulting messages: "The new tennis season has officially begun".

Taylor Fritz began his 2025 season with a singles loss to Felix Auger-Aliassime at the United Cup.

But the world No.4 made up for it in doubles with Coco Gauff to give the USA a 2-1 victory over Canada.

After this doubles match, which ended late in the night in Perth (1 a.m.), Fritz posted a screenshot of the many abusive messages he received on his Instagram account (see publication below) :

"The new tennis season has officially started. We're back (laughs)."
