Fritz makes a gesture in solidarity with the victims of the Los Angeles fires

Taylor Fritz is a very good tennis player, as demonstrated by his current performances.

The American easily won his second round match at the Australian Open against Cristian Garin (6-2, 6-1, 6-0) and is increasingly establishing himself as a reliable and solid player on the ATP circuit.

Despite his excellent recent performances, the Californian is not forgetting the news.

For several days now, terrible fires have been raging in the city of Los Angeles. The current death toll is estimated at 25, while at least 12,000 homes have been ravaged by the flames.

Following his victory over the Chilean, Fritz announced that he would donate his entire first-round winnings at the Australian Open (around 82,000 US dollars) to help the victims of the fires in the American city.

"What happened in Los Angeles is unreal. I'm going to donate all my first-round winnings to help the victims of the fires.

Southern California is my home, and I've lived in Los Angeles for a very long time. For me, this is the least I can do, and I intend to do everything I can to help.

I encourage everyone who can to make a donation, because so many people need help," said an emotional Taylor Fritz on court after his win over Garin.
