Fritz on the atmosphere in Turin: "I've had to deal with much worse situations".

Asked in the press conference following his ATP Finals defeat to Jannik Sinner (6-4, 6-4) about the pressure he felt on court, Taylor Fritz said he felt comfortable: "I don't feel I was under too much pressure. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that right now I'm confident in my game. I'm playing well. When I get on court, I feel good."
On having to face a local player, the American adds: "For me, playing the world number 1 in Italy, I find that the public has been pretty respectful. I've already had to deal with some pretty crazy situations when playing against local players. This was much worse.
Here, I found the public quite friendly. Honestly, it wasn't a very stressful match to play. It was fun. I think it was high level all the way through."
Fritz will play his semi-final qualifier on Thursday against Alex de Minaur, an opponent already eliminated from the tournament.
