From $455,000 to $1.36 million: Eala's financial transformation in 2025
Alexandra Eala made history for Philippine tennis in 2025.
At just 20 years old, the left-hander delivered a campaign that will long be remembered as a major turning point, both in her level of play and her impact on the international stage.
After two years of transition, Eala found her rhythm: 13 wins on the WTA tour, compared to only two before this season, and an impressive overall record of 40-26 including Challengers, ITF, and qualifying events.
But beyond the results, it was the impression she left that truly shifted her career.
From world No. 147 to the top 50: a meteoric rise
At the start of 2025, Eala was "only" the world No. 147. But by the end of 2025, she had become No. 50, a historic ranking as no Filipino player had ever reached such a position.
A performance highlighted notably by her run to the semifinals at the WTA 1000 in Miami.
Prize money: a spectacular transformation
But 2025 will also be remembered as the year Alexandra Eala changed her financial dimension. Across the 27 tournaments she played, she collected $907,777 in prize money.
A colossal total, more than double what she had accumulated since the start of her career.
And Miami, that tournament again, represents her biggest jackpot: $332,160 for her incredible run to the semifinals.
Finally, her first main draw Grand Slam victory, at the US Open, earned her an additional $154,000.
This season's accumulation of earnings allowed her to double her total prize money ($455,908). She now boasts $1,363,685 in career earnings.
A meteoric progression, mirroring the player she has become: more solid, more ambitious, and above all, ready to establish herself permanently among the world's elite.
