Gauff after her defeat by Badosa: "I'm disappointed, but not completely despondent".

Cori Gauff lost in two sets to Paula Badosa. The American is out of the Australian Open quarter-finals.
In a press conference, she spoke of her state of mind: "Paula played very well, maybe some moments in the first set could have gone in my favor, maybe the result could have been different if I'd won the first set.
Right now, I think there's a lot of work to be done, I'm disappointed, but I'm not completely down. I think I hit some balls too far off the line, playing too far back. I'm just looking forward to the next opportunity.
It's hard to make an assessment now, I just finished the match a moment ago, I'm still disappointed.
I think the way I played, even if I couldn't give my best, I gave everything on the court, and that's something I'm proud of.
It's something I'm proud of. I fought to the bitter end, and that's something that will make a lot of matches turn in my favor in the future, but not all of them.
Those kind of defeats two years ago made me feel much more down, it was like the end of the world with so much sadness, now all I can think about is that I could have done something more at certain moments.
I did the best I could with what I had, that's all."
