Engaged at the WTA Finals, where she won her first pool match, Coco Gauff took the opportunity to confide in us about how she deals with criticism.
Last year's US Open title winner, the American got off to an extremely early start on the professional circuit, which doesn't work in her favor, as she explained in a recent interview for The National media outlet: "I think people are very critical of me, maybe because of the way I came into the tennis world. I take it as a compliment."

The world no. 3 also refers to a difference in treatment she would receive compared to her competitors: "I have the impression that some players, if they achieve the same result as me, will be congratulated and on my side I will be criticized."
