Gauff on the power outage: "I don't know if we'll be able to get back to our hotel"

Coco Gauff had a rather unusual day in Madrid. Everything had started perfectly for the American, who won her match against Belinda Bencic (6-4, 6-2) and secured her spot in the tournament's quarterfinals.
However, during her post-match interview, a widespread power outage (still ongoing in Spain, Portugal, and parts of France) caused matches to be suspended and later canceled, hours afterward.
In comments reported by AP News, Gauff elaborated further on the situation: "I was planning to take a shower, but there was no hot water. So I had to make do with wipes and perfume.
I don’t know if we’ll be able to get back to our hotel. All the traffic lights are out. It’s just crazy to see how much we rely on electricity. It’s really wild and puts things into perspective."
