Gauff to Defend Her Title in Riyadh: World No. 3 Officially Qualifies for the 2025 WTA Finals

After a hard-fought battle, Coco Gauff defeated Belinda Bencic in Beijing and secured her spot in the WTA Finals.

Coco Gauff managed to come out victorious in her match against Belinda Bencic in the round of 16 of the Beijing WTA 1000 (4-6, 7-6, 6-2).

As the defending champion in the Chinese capital, the world No. 3 can still hope to achieve a double in this tournament and will face Eva Lys for a spot in the quarterfinals. While awaiting the outcome of this tournament, the American received excellent news following her victory against the world No. 16.

Indeed, the 21-year-old player has officially qualified for the WTA Finals in Riyadh, a tournament she won at the end of last year against Zheng Qinwen. The Roland-Garros champion, ranked 3rd in the Race, thus joins Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek, who both secured their tickets for the Masters in recent weeks.

Three of her compatriots follow her in the rankings: Amanda Anisimova, Madison Keys, and Jessica Pegula, and they seem well-positioned to join her in Saudi Arabia from November 1st to 8th.

Gauff will make her fourth consecutive appearance at the women's Masters. Before her title win last year, she failed in the group stage in 2022 during her first participation, before reaching the semifinals in 2023, where she lost to Jessica Pegula.

With the amount of look back via posts from previous years, you have created such confusion. It's not clear at all anymore if this post is from this year or previous years, which renders the post meaningless and obsolete. VERY, VERY POOR JOURNALISM from tennis temple.
