Halys prolongs Gstaad dream!
The series continues for Quentin Halys.
Ranked 192nd in the world this week, the Frenchman continues to build on his current confidence to qualify for his first ATP Tour final.
Already brilliant at Wimbledon, where he came through the qualifying rounds before reaching the third round, only to be stopped by Rune at the end of a 5-set battle, the Frenchman shines in Gstaad.
Emerging from qualifying with flying colors, Halys first took advantage of a draw within his reach, before knocking out Jan-Lennard Struff in the semi-finals on Saturday (6-3, 7-6).
Faced with the 37th-ranked player in the world and seeded 5th in Switzerland, the Frenchman didn't waver.
Not conceding a single set, he served perfectly and distributed the play from the baseline to win in just 1 hour 22 minutes.
In the final, he'll face a tough customer in the shape of either Stefanos Tsitsipas, ranked 12th in the world and clear favorite for the title, or the returning Matteo Berrettini, ex-6th in the world and already a winner on the surface this season (Marrakech).
