"He no longer has that killer instinct," Becker says about Zverev

Zverev will have a lot on his plate at Roland-Garros as he has to defend the points from his last year's final. Eliminated in the second round in Hamburg, Zverev has not displayed the consistency he would have liked on clay despite a title in Munich. On the "Becker Petkovic podcast," the former German player shared his thoughts on his compatriot's current form:
"Right now, but even since February, March, or April, he no longer has that killer instinct, despite his title in Munich. Zverev’s performances in other tournaments have been disappointing, with early exits in Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte-Carlo.
Furthermore, he has been unable to reach the semifinals in Madrid, Rome, and Hamburg. This essential quality of a winner has faded for Sascha over the past months."
In case of an early defeat in Paris, the consequences could be severe for the three-time Grand Slam finalist.
