He will soon reach a high level on grass," says Alcaraz about Fonseca
Joao Fonseca and Carlos Alcaraz shared a training session together on the courts of Wimbledon.
During a press conference, the Spaniard recalled the last time he played with the Brazilian and discussed his progress on grass.
In remarks reported by *Punto de Break*, he stated: "I was eager to play with him because the last time we did so was in 2023.
So I had been looking forward to this moment since he joined the ATP. He is relatively new to grass, like us, and doesn’t have much experience on this surface.
Given his style, he likes to play aggressively, hit hard with his forehand, and move forward to the net.
So I’m confident he will soon reach a high level on grass. For now, he still has things to learn because he’s still very young, but his level is already quite high.
