Henin: "Nadal won as a team, but lost alone".
Justine Henin, multiple Major winner and Eurosport France consultant, reflects on the formidable team spirit of the recently retired Rafael Nadal.
Admiringly, she explained: "In the end, Nadal won as a team, but he lost alone. After he stopped playing, I had the chance to interview him at Roland-Garros. We talked about that. We talked about the clan, his entourage, his ability to make no excuses on the court.
He didn't lose alone, because he had the support of his clan, but he always took responsibility. I think this sense of responsibility is important. He was always a player in everything he did.
