Ugo Humbert will not play a second final this year after Marseille.
The Frenchman, ranked 20th in the world, fell in the semifinals at ’s-Hertogenbosch against Gabriel Diallo (6-3, 7-6). He struggled in the match, committing 25 unforced errors to just 11 winners and failing to earn a single break point.
Diallo, who defeated Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals yesterday, continues his impressive run on the Dutch grass and will break into the top 50 on Monday.
In the final, he will face Zizou Bergs, who eliminated Reilly Opelka (6-1, 6-4). Both players, ranked 55th and 63rd respectively, will be vying for their first-ever ATP Tour title.
