I don't know how we're going to make it back to the hotel," Djokovic wins amid a wild night in Paris
Novak Djokovic secured his third-round victory against Filip Misolic during Saturday's night session.
The Serbian, who advanced to the Roland-Garros round of 16 for the 19th time in his career, spoke about the unique atmosphere of the evening following PSG's Champions League final win against Inter Milan:
"I could hear when PSG scored, and they celebrated way too many times. So I thought to myself, 'Wow, there are a lot of goals for Paris—what’s going on?' I heard it was 5-0. [...]
Night sessions are always different—the crowd is always more excited and louder. I knew I’d have to play at least once under these conditions, and it happened here. That’s just how it is.
I don’t know how we’re going to manage to get back to the hotel—it might be an adventure. I think it’s going to be a long night of celebrations. It’s a great night to be in Paris.
