I don't make the courts: Sinner responds to Zverev's comments

In Shanghai, Alexander Zverev didn't hesitate to point fingers at certain decisions regarding playing conditions. According to the German, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner would implicitly benefit from surfaces suited to their playing style. An implication that didn't go unnoticed.

Questioned during a press conference, Jannik Sinner responded to his tour colleague's remarks:

"Alcaraz and I, we don't make the courts. It's not our decision. We try to adapt to every situation. I feel like each week is still different anyway. I've already played very good tennis even when the courts were faster."

For reference, Zverev's comments coincide with those made by legend Roger Federer during the 2025 edition of the Laver Cup in San Francisco.
