The battle for the world number one ranking between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner is playing out at the US Open. The Italian arrives in New York with a title to defend, while Alcaraz was eliminated in the second round last year.

However, the Spaniard claims there is no pressure on Sinner's shoulders regarding this matter. He states: "Honestly, I don't think I'm putting pressure on him. I'm convinced he will get past the first round.

I try not to think too much about the top ranking. I'll just try to go as far as possible in this tournament, play my best tennis, and we'll see.

The best player of this tournament will finish first, so I don't think it puts pressure on him.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.

It's a shame that so many matches are being canceled. TT ,you are destroying your game ,and thereby killing your app. I don't know how many matches others have had canceled , but I'm at 3 and it's only thursday.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Grenier and Hsu at the Kobe tournament? The match was played to completion and on time.

Grenier def Ysu 6-2 , 6-2 at Kobe today and the TT canceled the match.
