"I have to accept that at this stage of my career, I won’t be 100% every day," Dimitrov opens up ahead of Sinner clash

Forced to retire in his last four Grand Slam tournaments, Dimitrov this time held his nerve to reach the Wimbledon fourth round. After defeating Ofner for his 100th Major win, the Bulgarian opened up about his current physical condition. At 34, the 2014 semifinalist is aware that injuries will become increasingly frequent as the years go by:
"I don’t want to comment on my current level. What I know is that right now, I feel very good. I have no pain. I put in a lot of work before the tournament started. Overall, every day has been positive. I feel like I’m building on that, which makes me not only happy but also excited for what’s to come.
Some days, it’s inevitable—you wake up with some pain, but it’s also a moment where I have to accept that at this stage of my career, I won’t be at 100% every day. So I live with it, and that’s fine with me. As long as I can go to work—meaning the match, the tournament—and give everything I have, then I feel like I’m doing my job."
Dimitrov will face Sinner this Monday in the final match on Centre Court. The two have met five times before, with the world No. 1 holding a clear advantage (4-1).
