Qualified for the Wimbledon quarterfinals, Alcaraz sets a new precocity record
Carlos Alcaraz, the two-time defending Wimbledon champion, secured his spot in the quarterfinals this Sunday by defeating Andrey Rublev.
He will play his twelfth Grand Slam quarterfinal on Tuesday. This makes him the youngest player in the Open Era to qualify for twelve Grand Slam quarterfinals.
At 22 years and 56 days old, he surpasses Bjorn Borg by 28 days and Boris Becker and Rafael Nadal by roughly six months.
