My level is there. I’m also learning to be kinder to myself," says Rublev after his loss to Alcaraz

Although Andrey Rublev fell in the Wimbledon quarterfinals to Carlos Alcaraz, the Russian was fairly satisfied with his level of play during the match.
In the press conference, he stated that he is being more positive and less demanding of himself: "It’s a lesson for me. I’m learning to be more compassionate toward myself.
Today, I managed to stay positive until the end and fight without putting myself down. My level is there—now it’s all about the details. I can’t remember the last time I played at this level.
Maybe in Madrid last year (when he won the tournament). If I can maintain this, something positive will happen.
I don’t know what brought me back to this level this week. Maybe a better mindset or better thoughts.
