"I hope age starts to take a bit of a toll on his physique," Muller says ahead of his match against Djokovic
Alexandre Muller faces the daunting task of taking on seven-time champion Novak Djokovic in the first round of Wimbledon. Aware of the challenge ahead, the Frenchman still believes in his chances against the Serbian. He shared his thoughts in an interview with *L’Équipe*:
"This will be my third time playing on Centre Court—it’s not quite like home, but almost. He’s a human being like me, and I think there’s always a chance. I hope age starts to take a bit of a toll on his physique. He’s the greatest player in history, and at Wimbledon, his stats are unbelievable. I’ll give it my best, and we’ll see."
Their last meeting was at the 2023 US Open, where Djokovic won in straight sets (6-0, 6-2, 6-3).
