Djokovic Parts Ways with Longtime Fitness Coach
Novak Djokovic has ended his collaboration with his fitness coach Gebhard Gritsch, with whom he worked from 2009 to 2017, 2018 to 2019, and 2024 to 2025.
In addition to being his fitness coach, Gritsch also served as an advisor to the Serbian player.
His replacement is Dalibor Sirola, who previously worked with Maria Sharapova, Borna Coric, Jannik Sinner, Milos Raonic, and Ivan Ljubicic.
The Serbian explained his decision: "I stopped working with Gigi in his active role as a fitness coach, but he will always remain a kind of advisor and consultant for me—professionally.
Personally, we are close; he is like family to me.
Dalibor will now travel with me; it's a kind of test to see if it works. We’ve already been working together for several weeks, and I really appreciate his personality and his approach to work.
He has exceptional experience because he has worked with top-level male and female tennis players and has been at the Piatti Academy for many years.
He’s someone who understands tennis, the specifics of the sport, and everything there is to know about it."
