I know you wanted to see more tennis, and I’m sorry about that, Alcaraz apologizes after a very short night session at Roland-Garros

Carlos Alcaraz won his quarterfinal against Tommy Paul in just 1 hour and 34 minutes of play.

A quick and one-sided victory that obviously left the spectators wanting more, though they still got to admire the full talent and explosiveness of the four-time Grand Slam winner.

During his post-match interview, Alcaraz described his feelings and even apologized to the crowd about the match’s duration:

"It was one of those days where everything was perfect. I felt like I couldn’t miss. I had the feeling I could have played with my eyes closed and everything would have gone in. (Addressing the crowd) I know you wanted to see more tennis. I’m sorry about that. But I have to do my job.

Alcaraz reasons and talks like a 38 year old man, and that's why people love him.

I don’t. How arrogant to elude he was so great he could have beaten Paul with eyes closed. I am not a pro American fan. I am all about the best player should win, AND be humble about it because tomorrow his or her’s butt might be dragged all over the court next time.

Did you watch the match? Sometimes a player plays so well they simply cannot avoid the obvious and admit the level they played at, which last night for Alcaraz was unplayable. I think he was trying to explain he had that *feeling* so he could play by touch rather than sight.
