The defending champion is now just two wins away from retaining his crown at Roland Garros.
Carlos Alcaraz delivered a flawless performance tonight in his quarterfinal match against Tommy Paul. While the Spaniard had dropped a set in his previous two rounds against Dzumhur and Shelton, this time he asserted his dominance with a commanding 6-0, 6-1, 6-4 victory, firing 40 winners and winning 88% of points behind his first serve.
With this masterful win, the world No. 2 advances to the tournament semifinals for the third consecutive year and boasts a season record of 20 wins and just one loss on clay. He will face Lorenzo Musetti on Friday, having previously defeated him in the Monte-Carlo final and the Rome semifinals.
