I love Draper. You can't rule out Djokovic either," Roddick names his Wimbledon favorites
Andy Roddick gave an interview to Tennis Channel where he discussed Wimbledon and shared his top picks. While Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are obviously the most anticipated, there are two other names to consider.
He stated: "You can't rule out Novak Djokovic. He reached the final last year—let's not forget that.
Wimbledon is his best Grand Slam in terms of title chances; he’s closer to Sinner and Alcaraz here, in best-of-five sets at Wimbledon, than in the other Grand Slams.
I love Jack Draper. I think his game is very complete: he returns really well, hits a great forehand, has that lefty serve, and does things that can make Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner uncomfortable.
I think he can hold serve enough times to create doubt. That said, I remember playing Andy Murray at Wimbledon. You open the newspaper, and the first six pages are all about Murray.
It’ll be an interesting situation to see how he handles it. I think it’ll be easier for him, since Murray has won this tournament twice—it’s not a huge historical moment.
