Wimbledon: Date and Time of the Draw, Change Regarding Finals Also Announced
With just seven days until the start of the legendary Wimbledon tournament, players registered in London will learn their first-round opponents on Friday, June 27, starting at 11 a.m. (French time).
At the temple of tennis, the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Alcaraz, the defending men's champion, will open the program on Centre Court as tradition dictates.
The only notable change: the ladies' and gentlemen's finals will no longer take place at 3 p.m. as usual, but at 5 p.m.
In the meantime, the qualifying rounds have begun in Roehampton. This is the only Grand Slam tournament where the qualifiers are held at a different site to preserve the Wimbledon courts for the main draw.
