"I need to see the doctors," Raducanu's words before her doubles withdrawal in Washington

While they were competing in doubles, Raducanu and Rybakina couldn't hold their ground during their semifinal in Washington. The two players decided to stop the match at 1-4 in the first set against the pair Townsend-Zhang. A logical choice for them, as they were still in contention in singles. Additionally, the conditions in the capital are among the worst on the WTA calendar, with extreme heat and humidity:
"I'm not feeling very well right now. I need to see the doctors. At Wimbledon, it's hot, but it's a drier heat, and the sweating isn't the same. Today, even during the warm-up for the match, just walking makes you sweat.
Honestly, I think it feels even hotter watching the match because you're sitting still with no movement and no breeze," Raducanu said in an interview shared by Tennis Up To Date.
The Brit will now face Russia's Kalinskaya (48th), while the Kazakh will play against Canada's Fernandez (36th).
