"I really want to overcome this moment I'm going through," Federico Coria announces elbow surgery

Argentine Federico Coria is set to face difficult weeks. Following an elbow injury, the 33-year-old player underwent surgery in Switzerland, as evidenced by his photo and message posted on his Instagram account:
"Today, I had surgery on my right elbow in Switzerland. I really want to overcome and learn from this moment I'm going through in order to appreciate the times when we are in good health. That is the most important thing; everything else comes after. Thank you to Charly Berlocq because thanks to you, I began to understand how right you were.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart because you reignited the inner fire in me to not retire. You also immediately took a flight to Europe to help me. That is something I will never forget, and I will be grateful to you for my entire life."
For reference, Coria reached a career-high ranking of 49th (in 2023) and notably reached the final of an ATP 250 tournament twice. First in Sweden at Bastad in 2021 (lost to Ruud) and then in his home country at Cordoba in 2023 (lost to his compatriot Baez).
