"I still have a lot of work to do," admits Gauff after qualifying for Roland-Garros semifinals

Coco Gauff is back in the semifinals at Roland-Garros. The world No. 2 American battled against her compatriot Madison Keys but ultimately found the solution to prevail in three sets (6-7, 6-4, 6-1 in 2h11) despite 15 winners and, more notably, 41 unforced errors.
A finalist in 2022, the 21-year-old will face Mirra Andreeva or Loïs Boisson for a spot in the final. On the court after her victory, Gauff analyzed her win, having lost her first set of the tournament during this all-American clash.
"I changed something at 4-1 in the first set. I tried to play longer balls, to be more aggressive. I fought for every point. Madison (Keys) has one of the best forehands on tour, if not the best, so I did my best to keep her on the other side of the court.
"As soon as there were slightly shorter balls to play, I tried to take advantage. It means a lot to me to have won today. It was a tough match, and I’m really happy to have pulled through, to be back in the semifinals.
"I still have a lot of work to do, but I’ll savor this victory," Gauff concluded for Roland-Garros media shortly after her win against the Australian Open champion.
