I was also depressed on the court and during tournaments, Alcaraz responds to Zverev's comments

After his first-round loss at Wimbledon against Arthur Rinderknech, Alexander Zverev admitted he was not at his best mentally and that he was considering therapy.

During a press conference, Carlos Alcaraz addressed the German's remarks, confessing that he too had gone through a mentally challenging period.

"I was often depressed on the court and during tournaments. I’m happy to have found my way back and to feel happy on the court again. For me, what matters isn’t winning or losing.

It’s about enjoying tennis. Having fun on the court. Not thinking about the result, but just about the present moment.

I play for myself, my team, my family. I see so many players talking about mental health. It resonates with me, and I try to follow that principle.

Compare alcazar's self centred and arrogant comments to Djokovic's about Sascha. Djokovic pure class and selfless, and also extending empathy to Sascha as well as offering support.

And you lot goo over a classless Carlos.
