I was so afraid of needles, it was my greatest phobia," Raducanu reveals her injury treatments
In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Raducanu shared some insights into how she has been managing her injuries in recent months. Returning to a better level, the British player will start her Roland-Garros against the Chinese player Wang (ranked 42nd).
"I undergo acupuncture treatment to stay fit, especially since the week before Australia, which was one of the worst physically. Additionally, I do a lot of physical therapy and heat-based treatments. I also have to undergo injections. At the beginning of the year, I was so afraid of needles.
It was my greatest phobia, but the only way for me to play in Australia. Since then, I do it because I know it helps me, even though I'm really scared of it. That's how I try to cope with situations. Injuries are recurring, but we always move forward.
