"I will remember it for the rest of my life," Cervara recalls his best memories with Medvedev
In an interview given to the Russian media Championat, Gilles Cervara spoke about his collaboration with Daniil Medvedev, which ended a few weeks ago and lasted 8 years.
In this interview, Cervara looked back on one of the best memories he keeps from this collaboration: "Of course, winning the US Open. It was an incredible feeling.
Frankly, I came out of nowhere, thinking back on my career and my life. No one knew who I was.
I remember when Daniil beat Novak Djokovic in New York, I looked up at the sky and said to myself: 'Whatever happens, whatever happens in the future, we made it.'
It was something special that I will remember for the rest of my life."
Medvedev had beaten Novak Djokovic in the final of the US Open in 2021.
