"I'll just try to improve things," promises Raducanu, who is suffering from back pain in Strasbourg

Emma Raducanu's run at the WTA 500 in Strasbourg ended in the round of 16. Despite a good start, the British player eventually fell to Danielle Collins (4-6, 6-1, 6-3).
After her victory against Daria Kasatkina (6-1, 6-3), the world No. 43 couldn't follow up, mainly due to a physical issue that has been bothering her for several months, as she explained herself after her three-set loss to the American in a hard-fought match.
"I felt discomfort in my back after the first round (against Kasatkina) and it hadn't disappeared yesterday. I tried to manage the situation and underwent treatment. I must say it was quite stiff and painful.
Before the start of the year, I was out for several months due to these same problems. So yes, it's annoying, it's frustrating. I have these spasms, they are very intense and can last a very long time.
I'll just try to improve things," assured Raducanu to Tennis Up To Date. She is expected at Roland Garros in the coming days to participate in the Grand Slam taking place on clay courts in the French capital, if her back issue is resolved by then.
