On Wednesday, the US Open revealed the pairs who will compete in the new mixed doubles event. Among the participants, Carlos Alcaraz and Emma Raducanu will be paired together.

The news sparked excitement among many tennis observers and fans, who have since been analyzing the chemistry between the two athletes. Emma Raducanu’s presence in the stands at Queen’s on Saturday to watch Alcaraz’s semifinal further fueled the rumors.

The man himself, who qualified for the tournament final, addressed the topic with reporters:

"I saw that on social media. I'm happy she came. But I was focused on my match and didn’t notice. Still, it was nice to have her in the stands. […] I’d like to see her play too, but it depends on the schedule. I have training and matches. I’d need some free time.

Wy men’s over women’s? All doubles is pointless anyway. At least the mixed at this years USO treats it for what it is - an exhibition.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
