I'm starting to feel like a serve bot," Alcaraz happy with his serving level at Queen's
Winner against Roberto Bautista Agut in the Queen's semifinal, Carlos Alcaraz impressed with his solidity and serving.
The five-time Grand Slam champion indeed broke his record for aces in a best-of-three match, with 15 unreturned serves across the two sets played. In his on-court post-match interview, he explained the source of this serving explosiveness:
"I'm starting to feel like a serve bot. (laughs) No, I'm joking. After my match against Munar, I wanted to improve my serve. I tried to focus on serving during practice.
Yesterday and today, it’s been a real weapon for me. I feel super good. Serving this well gives you a lot of confidence to play from the baseline. So I’m very happy to have had my best serving stats in a match.
