"I'm proud to have passed this test," Sabalenka relishes after her victory over Teichmann

Aryna Sabalenka confidently advanced to the third round at Roland-Garros. Despite a few adjustment games, the Belarusian ultimately dominated Jil Teichmann (6-3, 6-1) and will face Olga Danilovic in the round of 16.
The world No. 1, seeking her first title at Roland-Garros, hopes to build momentum as the tournament progresses. In a press conference, she reflected on her win against the Swiss player.
"She started really well, so I’m very happy I managed to turn things around when I was down 3-1. The key was maintaining a high level of serving at that moment.
After that, I felt stronger and found my rhythm. It was complicated—she plays great tennis, and I’m proud to have passed this test. I couldn’t adjust to the ball early in the match, and I didn’t quite understand why my rhythm was off.
This match will give me strength to keep fighting. The score might make it seem easy, but it wasn’t at all. She’s a tough opponent who makes you work for every point," Sabalenka said, already looking ahead to her next match against the Serbian.
"We faced each other a long time ago, in 2018 (in the Madrid Open qualifiers, a match Sabalenka won). But I won’t take that into account because we’re completely different players now. Recently, she’s had very good results.
I know she’s left-handed, which is a big difference. She plays flat and takes the ball early. She’s had some injuries, but she’s been coming back step by step. I’ve watched some of her matches this year in Madrid and Rome, and I’m really excited to face her in the next round.
It’ll be a big battle—I love challenges, and I can’t wait to play her," elaborated the Belarusian, who reached the quarterfinals last year on the Parisian clay, for Punto De Break.
