Aryna Sabalenka didn’t need to dig deep to advance past the second round at Roland Garros.
The world No. 1, facing Jil Teichmann, took four games to settle into the match, allowing her opponent to lead 3-1 early on. From there, she woke up and strung together five consecutive games to take the first set. The second act was one-sided, with Sabalenka pulling away quickly thanks to a double break.
With 34 winners, the Belarusian sealed a 6-3, 6-1 victory in just 1 hour and 18 minutes. An easy win before facing world No. 34 Olga Danilovic for a spot in the round of 16.
