I'm really excited, it's going to be a battle," Anisimova on her final against Sabalenka at the US Open
Amanda Anisimova has qualified for her second consecutive Grand Slam final by defeating Naomi Osaka. This time, she will face Aryna Sabalenka, an opponent she beat in the Wimbledon semifinals earlier this season.
In a press conference after her victory, the American expressed enthusiasm: "I'm really looking forward to being in the US Open final. It's really special. I'm just going to try to do everything right, prepare well, to be in the best possible physical and mental shape.
But yes, I'm really eager to be there, and I think it's a great opportunity. She's the world number one and plays incredible tennis. It's going to be a battle. Yes, I'm excited.
Every time we've played each other, it's been great. We've had very, very tough matches. Many of them have been in Grand Slams, especially early in my career.
But I think the most memorable match was probably Wimbledon. It was a very tight match, as it almost always is when I play her. I think that one was the most special for me.
