In Halle, Medvedev surpasses 20 wins in a season for the 9th consecutive time

Medvedev faced Altmaier on the center court of the Halle tournament.
Without faltering, the Russian quickly secured victory against his opponent in just 1 hour with a score of 6-3, 6-3. Despite solid serving, the German, who had received a wild card from the organizers, was unable to trouble the tournament's No. 3 seed, proving insufficiently effective in decisive moments.
Having dropped out of the top 10, Medvedev is enduring a tough season results-wise and hopes to regain momentum at Wimbledon, where he reached the semifinals in 2024. So far on grass, his campaign ended with a quarterfinal loss in 's-Hertogenbosch against Opelka.
However, with this performance, the 29-year-old player has now achieved at least 20 wins this season (21), marking the 9th consecutive year he has done so.
