Insolite - Kyrgios: "Please, take it easy on me".
Nick Kyrgios finally makes his return to the courts.
Absent for a long time and having not played a competitive match since Stuttgart 2023, the Australian seems to have regained sufficient physical condition.
After an official return in doubles, during US Open Fan Week, Kyrgios is scheduled to take part in the next UTS Tour tournament, in New York on August 22 and 23. He will be up against a certain Casper Ruud.
Teasing as ever, the Australian said of his next match: "I know it's been a long time. But my body is finally ready to get back out there and have some fun.
I'm going to see if I'm still capable of taking on some of the best players in the world, starting with my old rival, Casper Ruud.
Casper, please spare me. I can't wait to get out on the pitch, in front of all those amazing fans, and hope I can still bring some life to the sport."
