Inter or PSG? Don't put me in this situation," Sinner reflects on Donnarumma's presence in the stands

Jannik Sinner played his first round at Roland Garros under the watchful eye of one of his fellow athletes in the audience. Gianluigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper for PSG, came to support his Italian counterpart during his match against Rinderknech on the Philippe-Chatrier court. The match was won by the world number one, who commented on the presence of his friend:
"We have been good friends for a long time, we know each other well, and it was an honor for me to see him in my box. He, too, has an important match to play in a few days. We are focused on ourselves and our commitments, but we support each other, and it's great."
When asked about the outcome of the final between PSG and Inter, the 23-year-old player responded:
"Inter or PSG in the Champions League final? Don't put me in this situation. As an Italian, I say it would be great to see an Italian team win, but Gigio is a friend and if the French win, I would be very happy for him.
