Before starting the North American tour in Montreal, Alexander Zverev spent a week training in Mallorca at the Rafa Nadal Academy.

Under the supervision of Toni Nadal, the world No. 3 appears open to restructuring his team to increase his chances of winning a first Grand Slam title. In remarks reported by Tennis365, former world No. 1 Dinara Safina shared her thoughts on this potential collaboration:

"It would be interesting to see. Toni is a very straightforward person. I don’t know to what extent Alexander is ready to change and bring someone else into his team. We’ll see.
