"It's a new beginning for me," Medvedev says about his new team

Daniil Medvedev has reached the semifinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Almaty and is finding consistency in his game week after week.
Medvedev has qualified for the final four in Almaty. In Kazakhstan, the Russian, ranked 14th in the world, will play his third consecutive semifinal after Beijing and Shanghai. Still seeking his first title on the tour since 2023, Medvedev, who defeated Adam Walton (7-5, 7-6) and Fabian Marozsan (7-5, 6-2), will face James Duckworth for a spot in the final.
In a press conference, the 29-year-old player reflected on the start of his collaboration with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, his new coaches after the departure of his iconic coach Gilles Cervara.
"It's a new beginning for me. In China, we had good results. When you start playing well, you immediately want to do even more, and I know how to achieve that.
However, it's a daily process; you have to take it step by step. It's not easy to judge the results I've had with my new staff because we only had one week of training in Monaco.
Since then, we've been playing tournaments back-to-back, and there hasn't been much rest. There hasn't been enough time to make major changes to my game, but I believe everything has worked very well so far.
I believe my game is complete enough, but I need to add a few details here and there, and that's what we're working on right now. Details are needed for every part of the game: forehand, backhand, volley, serve.
These shots are good enough, since I've been world number one, but I still need to be more meticulous about the details," Medvedev concluded in recent hours for the media outlet Punto de Break.
