Almaty: Corentin Moutet on His Way to the Semifinals

Corentin Moutet made a big splash this Friday in Almaty. Facing Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff, the Frenchman delivered an intense battle to win in two sets (6-4, 7-5) and advance to the semifinals of the ATP 250 in Almaty. At 26 years old, he will play the ninth semifinal of his career against the rising American star Alex Michelsen.

Corentin Moutet is clearly capable of anything. This Friday, on the indoor hard courts of Almaty, the Frenchman delivered a great performance by eliminating Jan-Lennard Struff (98th).

Extremely efficient, the Frenchman was sharp during decisive moments (5/6 break points) to reach the final four of the tournament held in Kazakhstan. It's worth noting that this is his 4th semifinal of the season, matching his total from 2021 to 2024 on the main tour.

In the semifinals, Corentin Moutet will face Alex Michelsen, a young American player on the rise. A clash of styles between two very talented players.

I propose the following changes to the rules:

1...a walķover will not be a loss. We have no control of player's health. If he or she is entered in a contest we expect them to play.

2...an incomplete match is not a loss. If a player forfeits we pick another match if there are more to choose.

3...this also applies if TT cancels a match. TT will not take hours to decide an outcome.
