It's a very nice feeling, Djokovic savors after his victory over Zverev at Roland-Garros

Novak Djokovic has advanced to the semifinals of Roland-Garros. The 38-year-old Serb defeated Alexander Zverev in a night session on Court Philippe-Chatrier despite a sluggish start (4-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in 3h17), thanks in part to a tactical approach centered on drop shots that paid off throughout the match.

The former world No. 1, chasing a 25th Grand Slam title, is more motivated than ever and now prepares to face Jannik Sinner, who easily defeated Alexander Bublik, for a spot in the final. In the press conference, Djokovic reflected on his win over the German.

"It was an incredible match. Of course, beating one of the best players in the world on one of the greatest courts is one of the things I work for. I keep giving my all every day to play these kinds of matches. I prove to myself and to the other players that I can still compete at the highest level.

It's a very nice feeling, and I’ll enjoy this victory. In the last game, things got tense. He just held his ground incredibly well in the baseline rallies and stopped making mistakes. He made me work for it.

It’s no secret—it’s been like this for years. For me, what matters are the Grand Slams. I try to raise my level and play my best tennis in these four tournaments, and that’s what I manage to do.

I think the win over Alcaraz in the Australian Open quarterfinals and today’s victory against Zverev show that I can still perform at a very high level.
Playing in Geneva helped me raise my game and my confidence.

I still believe I would have played well even if I hadn’t gone there and had come straight here, because I always manage to bring my best tennis in these kinds of tournaments. But, all things considered, it was a good decision to go to Geneva," Djokovic elaborated, now looking ahead to his semifinal against Jannik Sinner.

"Jannik is in great form—he’s been the best player in the world for the past two years, and he deserves it. He plays fabulous tennis and is very strong in all areas of the game. I haven’t faced him in a while, but we’ve always had thrilling matches against each other.

At one point, I think we played each other four times in a very short span on hard courts. It’s going to be a Grand Slam semifinal against the world No. 1. There’s nothing better for me.

I’ll try my best to perform at least as well as I did tonight (Wednesday)," concluded the Serb for Roland-Garros media after his victory over Zverev.

why did tennis tonic void predictions on the match between Chwalinska and Huergo at the Quito tournament? The match was played to completion and on time. If TT feels the match is one sided, and of course it was, then don't put it up for prediction. This is getting irritating.

The finals are here, and we scramble for the best finish. I've been chasing "King" all year and I was able to shrink the spread a little. Skelp is also closing the gap.

Seasons best to all the regulars in our league.

Will you all be back in the new year.?

Steffi Graf completed a Golden Slam (not just a career Grand Slam) when she was 19. She is the only person to accomplish that, winning the four majors plus Olympic gold the same calendar year.

What a finish this is.. I believe King has used his boost for today. Skelp is closing strong. Two wins and he claims 1st if I lose my last prediction.

Gonna be difficult with only 2 pointers to choose from.
