"It's not the most player-focused Grand Slam," Swiatek discusses her relationship with the US Open

Present at the US Open, Swiatek attended a press conference after her third-round victory against Lamens (6-1, 4-6, 6-4). When asked about the particularity of the American tournament, which is primarily focused on entertainment and fan enjoyment, the Polish player responded as follows:
"We know it's not the calmest Grand Slam tournament, perhaps not the one that is most player-focused, because there is a lot of attention on entertainment and training. We have to adapt and accept it, nothing more.
It's always a bit more difficult here because it forces you to enter that bubble, but that's how things are in New York. That's why the Grand Slams are so different from each other: there are those who appreciate them and those who don't."
For a spot in the round of 16, she will have to overcome the Russian player Kalinskaya (29th).
