Jabeur, Sakkari, Kenin, or Kalinskaya: The Highly Competitive Qualifying Draw for the Berlin Tournament

The WTA 500 in Berlin begins tomorrow with the qualifying rounds and on Monday for the main draw.
Nine of the top 10 players will be present (only Iga Swiatek is missing), giving the tournament a Grand Slam-like feel. The qualifying draw, revealed this Friday, is just as competitive.
Anna Kalinskaya, ranked 28th in the world, is the No. 1 seed and will play her first-round match against Ella Seidel, potentially setting up a clash with Maria Sakkari, who starts her campaign against Rebeka Masarova.
Sofia Kenin, the 2019 Australian Open champion, will take on Erika Andreeva, while Ashlyn Krueger, a finalist in Abu Dhabi earlier this season, faces Anna-Lena Friedsam.
Two French players will attempt to navigate through the qualifiers: Chloé Paquet will play Ajla Tomljanovic, while Elsa Jacquemot has drawn a tough opponent in former world No. 2 Ons Jabeur.
