Jeanjean eliminated in quarters by Bejlek, no Frenchwoman left to compete in Buenos Aires
There are no French players left in the Buenos Aires draw.
The last Frenchwoman to compete in Argentina, Léolia Jeanjean was beaten in the quarter-finals by 18-year-old Czech revelation Sara Bejlek (2-6, 6-4, 6-0).
Despite a very good start, Jeanjean, 29, was unable to complete the match.
The second Frenchwoman in the South American capital, Kristina Mladenovic, was eliminated in the second round by Mayar Sherif (6-2, 6-2).
The semi-finals of the WTA 125 Buenos Aires tournament have now been decided. They will pit Katarzyna Kawa against Maria Carle, then Mayar Sherif against Sara Bejlek.
