Mladenovic swept aside by Sherif, Jeanjean in the quarter-finals in Buenos Aires
Both present at the Buenos Aires tournament this week, Kristina Mladenovic and Léolia Jeanjean are experiencing mixed fortunes in Argentina.
In the Round of 16, the Frenchwoman couldn't do much against Mayar Sherif (6-2, 6-2). The Egyptian, ranked 92nd in the WTA rankings, will be up against local wild card Jazmin Ortenzi for a place in the last four.
For her part, Léolia Jeanjean will contest her quarter-final this Friday.
After her first two wins over Francisca Jorge (6-4, 6-3) and Suzan Lamens (4-6, 6-4, 6-2), the 29-year-old will face the young Czech Sara Bejlek, ranked 184th in the world.
